Full Report
Apple and The King’s Trust announced the Apple x King’s Trust Creative Labs on October 7, 2026. The immersive education program is designed to help young people build careers in creative industries, connecting participants with Apple experts across industries as they explore career paths.
The first cohort will include up to 20 people aged 18 to 30. Participants will take specialized workshops using Apple technologies to learn industry-aligned skills. The program’s first educational experience began during announcement week with music-industry and creative workshops, aligned with the recent opening of Apple Music Hall at Battersea Power Station in London.
The organizations plan to hold more Creative Labs sessions and cohorts over the next year. The initiative builds on their existing education work: since 2019, Apple’s support has helped The King’s Trust expand STEAM programming through its Achieve program to schools in every region across the country.
The King’s Trust was founded in 1976 by His Majesty The King, when he was the Prince of Wales, and is marking its 50th anniversary in 2026. Creative Labs adds a focus on career pathways in the creative industries, beginning with a small cohort and practical workshops.
Why This Matters
The initiative pairs hands-on technology workshops with exploration of creative-industry careers, and the first cohort’s size and age range are defined. Further sessions will show how the partners extend the program beyond its initial music and creative workshops.
