Apple’s October Hello Developer edition spotlights iPhone Duo guidance and developer events
Published October 6, Apple’s October 2026 Hello Developer edition covers iPhone Duo app-submission tips, sign-ups for new Group Labs, and a new developer event focused on speed and efficiency. It also highlights localized documentation and App Store creative assets.
Full Report
Apple Developer published the October 2026 edition of Hello Developer on October 6. It brings together tips for submitting an iPhone Duo app, invitations to sign up for new iPhone Duo Group Labs, a new developer event about speed and efficiency, and references to localized documentation and App Store creative assets.
The edition combines practical development support with opportunities for participation: developers are directed to submission guidance and Group Labs sign-ups, while the event centers on speed and efficiency. The announcement does not give the event’s name, date, or further details, nor does it provide a Group Labs schedule or sign-up details.
The update also sits alongside Apple’s earlier iPhone Duo submission guidance. Apple had opened submissions for apps and games optimized for iPhone Duo and said that submissions would need to include iPhone Duo screenshots starting in April 2027. For developers, the October edition points to several parts of that work—from device adaptation to peer engagement and storefront materials.
Why This Matters
The Group Labs invitation and speed-and-efficiency event add developer-engagement options to the submission guidance already available for iPhone Duo. Together, those items give developers relevant support touchpoints as they work on device-optimized apps.
