Full Report
OpenAI says the global rollout of Intelligent UI in ChatGPT is expanding to Free and Go on October 8, 2026. The feature had already rolled out to Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise. Enterprise availability remains dependent on workplace administrator settings.
Intelligent UI can add interactive interfaces to responses, making everyday answers more visual, helping explain complex topics, and creating tools for tasks in the moment. OpenAI says Free and Go use GPT-6 Luna, while Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise use GPT-6 Sol; both models are tuned for everyday conversation.
The update applies to ChatGPT’s Chat experience. OpenAI says the models powering Work and Codex are not changing in this release. The announcement follows earlier interactive visual features in ChatGPT: in March, OpenAI announced interactive learning modules for more than 70 core math and science concepts, available globally across plans.
Why This Matters
The expansion brings Intelligent UI to Free and Go users, beyond the paid and enterprise tiers already included in the rollout. The stated scope also clarifies that this is a Chat experience update, not a change to the models powering Work or Codex.
