Foongus and Amoonguss Arrive in Pokémon Sleep on October 5

Full Report

Pokémon Sleep’s official announcement dated September 28 introduces Foongus and Amoonguss as new arrivals. Both are listed as Poison type with the Dozing sleep type. They begin appearing on October 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.; incense for the new arrivals can also be used starting then.

The listed locations are Greengrass Isle, Lapis Lakeside, Amber Canyon, Greengrass Isle (Expert), and Cyan Beach (Expert). The announcement says encounters are more likely at Cyan Beach (Expert) than at the other listed areas, giving players a location-specific detail for planning sleep research.

Their arrival coincides with the start of Packed Portions Cooking Week Part 3. Running October 5–12, the event doubles cooking pot capacity on weekdays and increases it to four times the usual capacity on Sunday, alongside a limited-time Mini Candy Boost. The new Pokémon and the cooking event therefore share the same opening date and fall within the same event period.

Why This Matters

The announcement gives players a specific start time, usable incense time, and set of encounter locations for Foongus and Amoonguss, including a higher encounter likelihood at Cyan Beach (Expert). Their October 5 arrival also overlaps with the start of a separate limited-time cooking event.
