Gamescom 2026 Brings Early Footage of Several Nintendo Switch 2 Games
Footage from several Nintendo Switch 2 games playable at Gamescom 2026 is starting to appear online, including Dragon's Dogma 2, Mega Man: Dual Overdrive, 007 First Light, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort.
DNA Brief
Signal Summary
VGC published nearly 10 minutes of docked Dragon's Dogma 2 gameplay, which appears to run at 30 frames per second and at lower resolution than the referenced home-console versions. VGC also shared Mega Man: Dual Overdrive footage, while Jon Cartwright posted off-screen footage from multiple demos, including 007 First Light.
Why It Matters
The footage provides an early look at how Nintendo Switch 2 versions of demanding and upcoming games are being presented before release. Dragon's Dogma 2 in particular suggests a possible performance and resolution trade-off, although the source does not establish whether these observations reflect the final version.
