Full Report
Google announced Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash on November 5, 2026, raising the limit for native video generation and editing to 15 seconds. Users can set clip durations in one-second increments from 3 to 15 seconds. Google says 720p video costs $0.07 per second, 30% less than Gemini Omni 1.1.
Generation can be guided with character, product, or style images, motion clips up to three seconds, and audio cues. Users can draft at 360p or 720p and upscale selected clips to 1080p or 4K. They can also revise a full 15-second clip over multiple conversational turns, changing elements such as the product, background, lighting, weather, or aspect ratio.
Google says the model is designed to preserve details such as faces, garments, packaging typography, and brand colors across camera angles. The announcement also describes more fluid dialogue, clearer lip-sync, distinct multi-speaker conditioning, and continuous camera movements with fewer unwanted jump cuts and steadier scale.
Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash is generally available through the Gemini API and Gemini for business. Google Vids offers 15-second clips at no additional cost to people with a Google account or Google Workspace subscription, while 15-second video creation is rolling out in the Gemini app to Google AI Ultra subscribers. Google says the model uses Google Cloud enterprise-grade infrastructure and security; Provisioned Throughput is available, and outputs carry an imperceptible SynthID watermark.
Why This Matters
The announcement goes beyond clip length and price: reference inputs, multi-turn editing, and a draft-then-upscale workflow describe concrete ways users can direct and revise output. Availability also differs across Google products, so users can distinguish the general-availability API and business offering from the product-specific access described for Vids and the Gemini app.
