9to5Mac reports that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may keep their predecessors’ screen sizes while adding LTPO+ technology and a smaller Dynamic Island cutout, estimated to be about 35% smaller than on the iPhone 17 Pro.
The report says LTPO+ extends oxide use to the driving TFTs, allowing finer control of current for OLED light emission. It is described as reducing low-light flicker and improving power efficiency. The smaller Dynamic Island is also said to be hinted at by the new Siri design in iOS 27, but the hardware changes remain rumors.
If accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro display changes would focus on display behavior and the front cutout rather than screen size. That could mean better low-light viewing, improved power efficiency, and more usable visible area without changing the overall display dimensions.
