SEGA says the Nintendo Switch 2 version launched September 18. A free update adds Absolute, a difficulty setting above Caped Crusader and Dark Knight.
Full Report
SEGA announced on September 28 that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight had launched for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 18. The open-world action-adventure follows young Bruce Wayne’s path to becoming Batman in Gotham City. It supports solo and two-player cooperative play, alongside Gotham exploration, vehicle use, and Batcave customization.
A free update adds Absolute difficulty. SEGA describes it as more challenging than Caped Crusader and Dark Knight, demanding more precise controls and combat judgment.
In Japan, the standard edition is priced at ¥8,778 including tax. The digitally sold Deluxe Edition costs ¥11,286 including tax, and a separate upgrade from the standard edition is available through the Nintendo eShop. The Deluxe Edition includes themed content as well as new story missions starring Joker and Harley Quinn and Mayhem Mode.
Why This Matters
The Switch 2 release brings the game to another platform, while the free difficulty update adds a new challenge for players who already own it. The Deluxe Edition separately packages additional character missions and a mode for players interested in the extra content.
