MacRumors wrote that Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 may be the closest look yet at the foldable iPhone Ultra Apple is expected to make later this year. The outlet says the wider, more tablet-like design lines up with rumored dimensions and software challenges Apple may need to solve.
MacRumors said its hands-on look at the Galaxy Z Fold8 offers a preview of the kind of shape Apple’s foldable iPhone Ultra could take. The report also notes possible tradeoffs around app scaling and camera hardware.
For Apple watchers, Samsung’s new foldable gives a practical reference point for what a future iPhone Ultra could feel like in daily use. It also underscores the design and software decisions Apple will need to get right if it wants the device to stand out.
Start with the primary evidence, then review supporting sources and context.
