MacRumors reported that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to arrive with a familiar design but several rumored changes. The outlet noted possible upgrades such as a smaller Dynamic Island, LTPO+ displays, variable-aperture camera hardware, and an A20 Pro chip.
According to MacRumors, the next Pro iPhones are being discussed with a mix of design continuity and internal hardware changes. The report also says Apple may unveil the Pro models alongside a foldable iPhone Ultra in September, though this remains reporter-sourced discussion rather than official word.
For iPhone buyers, this signal helps frame what could change on the Pro models without suggesting a full redesign. It also shows how rumor tracking can shape expectations before Apple’s fall product cycle, while database entries and similar signals can point to preparation but not final release plans.
High confidence on the attribution and the general product summary, since the source text clearly discusses rumored iPhone 18 Pro features in MacRumors. Lower confidence on any exact timing or pricing details, so those were kept broad and attributed rather than stated as fact.
Start with the primary evidence, then review supporting sources and context.
“It is now August, and that means the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are just a month away. The devices are expected to look similar to the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max,”
