NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS Version 1.71 Fixes BP Displays and Reward Issues
Bandai Namco Entertainment America released the free Version 1.71 update on September 30, 2026, fixing certain Battle Point rank-display errors and reward items that could remain unavailable despite meeting their requirements.
Full Report
Bandai Namco Entertainment America published Version 1.71 update notes for NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS on September 30, 2026. The free update is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. An internet connection is required to apply it.
The update addresses two Battle Point display issues. Ninja Info Cards could show the wrong rank name when BP exceeded 80,000. Above 99,999 BP, players could also see the rank-up effect after every ranked-match win, alongside incorrect rank-icon and BP displays. Bandai Namco says players’ BP was recorded correctly even when the bug occurred.
The fixes follow an earlier increase to the BP limit: the patch notes say the maximum rose from 99,999 in Version 1.60 and earlier to 999,999 in Version 1.70. Rank icons and names for the expanded BP range are slated to be added through future updates, according to the publisher.
Version 1.71 also fixes an issue that could leave some rewards unavailable to players who had already met their requirements before applying Version 1.70. The affected items include Nanashi Uchiha’s Ninja Heroes and Warring States Period costumes, along with some of Hikari Uchiha’s special chats and matching voices. The update also addresses additional minor bugs.
Why This Matters
The patch addresses issues affecting ranked-play information and access to certain story-related rewards. Bandai Namco also confirms that BP was recorded correctly despite the display bug, while saying that rank icons and names for the expanded BP range will come in future updates.
