Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour 1.1.0 Adds TV Mode for VRR Slider
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour has been updated to version 1.1.0, adding TV-mode access to the VRR Slider demo in the Joy-Con 2 (L) Inner Area. It requires a VRR-compatible TV and an updated Nintendo Switch 2 Dock.
DNA Brief
Signal Summary
Dated September 10, 2026, the update also fixes several other issues intended to improve gameplay, although the source does not specify them. The dock can be updated from the HOME Menu through Settings → System → Dock Update.
Why It Matters
VRR Slider is now available on a TV rather than only in handheld use, but the feature depends on both VRR-compatible display hardware and an updated Nintendo Switch 2 Dock.

Primary Evidence
1Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour Updated To Ver. 1.1.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
“Got to account for that system update. As if all of this week's Direct shenanigans weren't enough, Nintendo yesterday released a surprise Switch 2 system update , adding VRR modes when playing on the TV. But what would such a feature be if it didn't appear in Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour , eh? Worry not, the game has been updated too.…”
