OCTOPATH TRAVELER and Its Sequel Get Nintendo Switch 2 Release Trailer

Square Enix Asia has published a Nintendo Switch 2 release trailer for OCTOPATH TRAVELER and OCTOPATH TRAVELER II. The trailer presents both games for Nintendo’s new platform. In a separate Nintendo Switch 2 video, Square Enix Asia labels the two versions “AVAILABLE NOW” and says they offer improved resolution and framerate.

The official description says the series has surpassed 7 million worldwide sales across packaged and download versions since its first installment launched in 2018. It describes the RPG series as using HD-2D graphics that combine pixel art with 3D CG, and following the stories of eight travelers. That history places the two Switch 2 versions within a series that has built an established audience over multiple entries.

For players, the announcement confirms that both games are coming to Nintendo Switch 2, while the separate video supplies additional information about availability and visual performance. The series’ reported sales and shared HD-2D identity also give context to the scope of bringing both titles to the platform.
