OpenAI begins GPT-6 and Intelligent UI rollout in ChatGPT

OpenAI began a global ChatGPT rollout of GPT-6 with Intelligent UI on October 7, starting with Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise. Free and Go are scheduled to follow on October 8.

Full Report

OpenAI said GPT-6 with Intelligent UI began rolling out globally in ChatGPT’s Chat tab on October 7, first for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise. The company said the rollout would expand to Free and Go on October 8. Enterprise availability depends on workplace admin settings.

Intelligent UI lets ChatGPT combine text, visuals and interactive elements in responses, including graphics, tappable buttons, forms and charts. OpenAI describes the feature as a way to make everyday answers more visual, help users explore complex topics, and create tools for tasks within a conversation.

The model varies by tier: GPT-6 Sol powers ChatGPT for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise, while GPT-6 Luna powers it for Free and Go. OpenAI says this release applies to Chat; the models powering Work and Codex are not changing. In an earlier announcement, the company had said Sol and Luna were available in Work and Codex but not yet in Chat.

Why This Matters

The rollout brings GPT-6 into ChatGPT’s everyday Chat experience with interactive responses users can work with directly. The staged tier schedule and Enterprise admin settings determine when different users can access it.
