Full Report
Nintendo released the demo for ピクミン4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + だれでもチャレンジ! ダンドリ検定 on November 2, 2026. The main-game portion lets players explore the opening area, ひだまりの庭, until they collect 1,500 units of キラキラエネルギー. The Dandori Academy demo includes an introductory stage plus メガキノコチャレンジ and おやつデリバリー.
Demo save data can carry over to the full game. There is a qualification: if someone has already played ピクミン4 before trying the Dandori Academy demo, only the Dandori Academy save data newly carries over. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is scheduled to launch on November 12, and Nintendo says a special Dandori Academy exam will be available that Thursday. Nintendo had previously announced the November 12 release date; the new update is the playable demo.
Pikmin Bloom is also scheduled to add ひみつの洞窟 this winter. In the new mode, players will gather treasure through battles with creatures. The announcement therefore pairs a pre-release trial of the upcoming edition with a preview of a separate Pikmin Bloom addition.
Why This Matters
The demo gives players a chance to try both the opening portion and selected exam content before the November 12 launch, and eligible progress can transfer to the full game. The announcement also clarifies the focus of Pikmin Bloom’s planned winter mode.
