Pokémon stop-motion series starring Sirfetch’d and Pichu planned for Disney+ in 2027
An official teaser announces Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu, a stop-motion series about the pair protecting Pokémon in the Galar region, planned for Disney+ in 2027.
DNA Brief
Signal Summary
The series is being produced jointly by The Pokémon Company and Aardman. Sirfetch’d and Pichu are the central duo, while the teaser places their adventure in Galar and says the series is expected on Disney+ in 2027; no exact release date is specified.
Why It Matters
The announcement adds a stop-motion Pokémon production to the planned screen lineup and identifies both its streaming platform and target year. The lack of a specific 2027 date means the release timing remains broad rather than scheduled.
DNA Read
This signal is confirmed by an official announcement source, so confidence is set at 92/100. Although it currently comes mainly from a single official source, the official publication itself is sufficient grounds for confirmation.
