SanDisk launches a 1TB microSD Express card targeting Nintendo Switch 2
SanDisk has showcased a 1TB microSD Express card targeting, but not limited to, Nintendo Switch 2. It is available in select locations at a $429 MSRP and a current sale price of $359.
DNA Brief
Signal Summary
The card was showcased at Gamescom this week, roughly a year after the launch of the new system. Select markets, including the US through SanDisk’s Amazon store, currently have it available. Nintendo Switch 2 supports cards up to 2TB and includes 256GB of internal storage.
Why It Matters
The 1TB card offers a substantial storage expansion option for Nintendo Switch 2, but its $429 MSRP highlights the cost of high-capacity microSD Express storage. The current $359 sale price lowers that barrier for buyers who need more space.
