『マリオカートワールド』Sets 「オンラインチャレンジサバイバルの秋」 for October 17

Nintendo’s in-game online event 「オンラインチャレンジサバイバルの秋」 runs from 13:00 to 17:00 on October 17. It uses 150cc Survival rules, allows up to 16 races, and ranks players by a result-based rating that starts at 3000.

Full Report

Nintendo has announced 「オンラインチャレンジサバイバルの秋」, an online event in 『マリオカートワールド』 for Nintendo Switch 2. It is scheduled for October 17 from 13:00 to 17:00, using 150cc Survival rules, with up to 16 races during the four-hour window. The announcement does not specify a time zone.

Players compete on a rating that changes with match results and starts at 3000. Because the result is based on the rating at the end of the event, participants do not need to keep racing for the full four hours. Nintendo will also publish the top-ranked player for each character. A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required.

Nintendo has also scheduled Mario Kart World Open October 2026 for October 17–18 as a qualifier for Mario Kart World Fall Cup 2026. That event overlaps in date with the in-game challenge, but the announced formats and participation details differ.

Why This Matters

The four-hour window does not require players to stay online throughout: the challenge compares ratings at the end, leaving participants room to choose when to take part. The format, race cap, starting rating, and paid Nintendo Switch Online requirement give players concrete information for deciding whether and how to join.
