Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Adds Crazy Taxi’s Axel as a Free Character This Week
SEGA announced that Crazy Taxi’s Axel will be the next free character in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, with his festival scheduled for August 27–30. Amigo from Samba De Amigo is planned to follow in September 2026.
DNA Brief
Signal Summary
The game is also getting a second Season Pass with six new DLC packs. Its first additions will feature Godzilla and Evangelion content, while paid Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters arrived earlier in August 2026; Avatar Legends content has also been announced.
Why It Matters
The update expands CrossWorlds’ post-launch content through both free character events and paid DLC. Axel is the immediate addition and Amigo is next in September, while the six-pack Season Pass establishes a larger content schedule; the remaining four packs have not yet been identified.
