『モンスターハンターワイルズ:アセンダンス』 Targets 2027 Release; Playable at TGS 2026
Capcom exhibited playable versions of 『モンスターハンターワイルズ:アセンダンス』 and the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 『モンスターハンターワイルズ』 at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The large-scale expansion is scheduled for 2027 and will add a story continuation, fields, monsters, hunter actions, and a new quest rank, 「マスターランク」.
Full Report
Capcom brought playable versions of 『モンスターハンターワイルズ:アセンダンス』 and the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of 『モンスターハンターワイルズ』 to Tokyo Game Show 2026, alongside a special video shown at the expansion's booth. Capcom describes 『モンスターハンターワイルズ:アセンダンス』 as a large-scale expansion due in 2027; the base game is required to play it.
The expansion is set to continue the main game's story and add fields, monsters, hunter actions, and a new quest rank called 「マスターランク」. Capcom lists PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam as platforms.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the base game is scheduled for December 4, 2026, and is available for preorder. CapcomChannel had already mentioned that date in another program published October 1, 2026; this announcement adds the expansion's release window, platforms, and planned content.
Why This Matters
The announcement establishes the expansion's planned release year, platforms, and broad content scope, while confirming that it requires the base game rather than being a standalone release. The December 4, 2026 date for the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the base game had appeared in an earlier program, so it is not a new date from this video.
