Tetris 99’s 57th TETRIS 99 CUP teams up with Fire Emblem: 万紫千紅

Nintendo announced on September 29, 2026, that the 57th TETRIS 99 CUP will be a collaboration with the recently released Nintendo Switch 2 game Fire Emblem: 万紫千紅. The event runs from October 2 at 16:00 through October 6 at 15:59. Nintendo describes Tetris 99 as a game exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.

Players earn event points based on their placement in Tetris 99 mode, and reaching 100 points unlocks the collaboration theme. First place awards 100 points, second 70, and third 50. Places 4–10 earn 40 points; 11–30 earn 30; 31–50 earn 20; 51–90 earn 10; and 91–99 earn one point. A first-place finish therefore reaches the reward threshold in a single match, while other placements contribute toward it over multiple games.

The collaboration brings a limited-time Tetris 99 theme tied to the new Fire Emblem game. Nintendo describes the title as a role-playing simulation in which terrain and character traits shape tactical decisions. A 4Gamer play report also notes that its four protagonists have distinct story, battle, and adventure content.
