The James Pond Legacy: The Pond Is Not Enough announced for Nintendo Switch 2
System 3 announced The James Pond Legacy: The Pond Is Not Enough, a collection of 12 versions of four James Pond games planned for physical and digital release on Nintendo Switch 2 in October. The physical edition is capped at 6,000 copies.
DNA Brief
Signal Summary
The collection preserves versions from the Amiga 500, SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and Commodore 64. It includes James Pond: Underwater Agent, James Pond 2: RoboCod, James Pond 3: Operation Starfish, and The Aquatic Games Starring James Pond and the Aquabats, alongside a Pondverse interactive hub, modern convenience features, and multiple language options. A PlayStation 5 version was rated in Germany, but was not announced that day.
Why It Matters
The release brings four classic James Pond games and their versions from four platforms together on Nintendo Switch 2, while establishing both physical and digital editions. The exact October date remains unspecified, and the physical run will not exceed 6,000 copies, making the collector’s edition a limited release rather than a broadly available physical launch.
