「The Top 4」 — Mario Tennis Fever Open Set for October 24

Nintendo has scheduled the Mario Tennis Fever Open October 2026 Tournament for October 24, 2026. Play starts with the Bracket Round at 10:00 a.m. PT, using one-on-one, best-of-three single elimination until four players remain. Those final four then move to a double-elimination bracket, scheduled to be livestreamed from 1:00 p.m. PT until a champion is determined. The event is expected to wrap at approximately 4:00 p.m. PT.

Registration opened October 5 at 9:00 a.m. PT and closes October 24 at 9:30 a.m. PT. Players must sign up through Battlefy. Eligibility is limited to legal residents of the United States, including D.C., and Canada who are at least 13, and legal residents of Mexico who are at least 18. Participants need access to a Nintendo Switch 2 system, Mario Tennis Fever, a Nintendo Account, reliable high-speed internet, and any Nintendo Switch Online membership. Nintendo says no purchase is necessary.

There are eight prize packages: one each for the Grand, First, Second, and Third Prize tiers, plus four Fourth Prize packages. The Grand, First, and Second Prize packages each have an approximate retail value of $468.93. Mario Tennis Fever launched for Nintendo Switch 2 on February 12, 2026, so the tournament adds a scheduled competitive event for players of the released game.
