The Verge reports Apple’s camera-equipped AirPods may appear in leaked video

Signal Summary

The footage reportedly shows AirPods with a bulkier design and possible camera-related features, although the video offers only a limited view of the hardware. The Verge linked the concept to earlier reporting about AirPods serving as visual sensors for Apple’s AI features.

Why It Matters

If the reporting is accurate, Apple may be exploring AirPods as a more active interface for visual AI, extending the product beyond audio. It would also place the earbuds in the same broader category as camera-equipped AI wearables.
