Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Updated to Version 3.0.1
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition received version 3.0.1 on August 26, 2026, fixing issues involving accessory slots, audio balance, WP, combat controls, and Pouch Items.
DNA Brief
Signal Summary
The update fixes a New Game Plus issue in which receiving WP as an amiibo reward could reduce a player's accessory slots from three to two. Players who re-unlocked the extra slot after the bug occurred will have the unlocking items they spent returned. It also addresses audio balance differences from the Nintendo Switch version and cases where a Driver joined the party with an unusually large amount of WP.
Why It Matters
Version 3.0.1 addresses bugs that could affect both equipment configuration and resources in the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, including items spent to restore an accessory slot. The physical Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is scheduled for release in October, but an exact date has not been announced.
