任天堂於 2026 年 10 月 16 日公布《Nintendo Switch Sports Resort》的更多玩法細節。遊戲預定 10 月 22 日獨家登上 Nintendo Switch 2，收錄 12 項運動，玩家可單人遊玩，也可與朋友線下或線上競賽。遊戲舞台是設有觀光景點與運動設施的 Wuhu Island。
新項目 Thumb Wrestling 中，玩家須將對手的拇指壓制三秒才能獲勝；Skateboarding 則可將 Joy-Con 2 當作滑鼠，進行磨欄、滑行與空中花式。回歸的 Power Cruising 可用一對 Joy-Con 操控方向，扭轉控制器則能加速；其他操作特色包括射箭時風力可能影響箭矢、保齡球可扭轉控制器加上旋轉，以及用控制器傾斜操控 Prop Plane。
任天堂列出的遊戲一般售價為 49.99 美元，Nintendo Switch 2 與遊戲同捆組合的一般售價則為 529.99 美元。任天堂已於 2026 年 8 月公布該同捆組合，內容包括遊戲下載版及三個月 Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership。線上功能需有 Nintendo Switch Online 會員資格、Nintendo Account 與網路連線，且並非所有國家皆可使用。
