Apple confirmed a September 9, 2026, special event titled “Surprise and shine,” with the source linking the event to expected iPhone 18 Pro and folding iPhone launches.
The event is scheduled for 10 A.M. Pacific Time and 1 P.M. Eastern Time, with streaming available through YouTube, Apple’s Event page, and the Apple TV app. It will also be John Ternus’s first event as CEO; the source does not provide product specifications, pricing, or availability details.
The confirmation establishes September 9 as the next major date for information about the iPhone 18 Pro and folding iPhone. It also makes the event a leadership milestone, since it will be Ternus’s first event as CEO.
Start with the primary evidence, then review supporting sources and context.
