Apple released beta firmware build 9A5347a for AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4, and AirPods Max 2, making it available to developers and public beta testers.
The firmware supports a new AirPods interface in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate, along with an Adaptive mode slider, custom EQ, and compatibility with the new Siri AI. The beta option appears in AirPods settings when the earbuds or headphones are connected to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26 or later.
