Nintendo says pre-orders are now available for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition. Owners of the Nintendo Switch version can receive a discount on the digital Nintendo Switch 2 game through Nintendo eShop and transfer their existing save data.
Nintendo has announced that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on February 25, 2027. The new version features enhanced visuals and frame rate, more enemies on screen, all content from the original Expansion Pass, and a new ultra-tough Calamity Mode. Nintendo Switch players will also be able to transfer their existing save data and purchase the digital Switch 2 version at a discount.

The Nintendo Switch 2 release enhances the original game with improved visuals and frame rate, while also allowing more enemies to appear on screen during its large-scale battles.

The original Age of Calamity is already playable on Nintendo Switch 2 through compatibility, but this is a dedicated version built to take greater advantage of the newer hardware. Enhanced performance, larger battles, all Expansion Pass content, a new mode, and save-data transfer make it a more substantial rerelease than a straightforward backward-compatible version.
