Nintendo and Capcom have announced that three modern Resident Evil remakes are coming to Nintendo Switch 2: Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition. All three titles will launch digitally on October 16, 2026, followed by physical editions on January 29, 2027.

All three games are scheduled to launch digitally for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16, 2026, with physical editions following on January 29, 2027.
The three titles are modern reimaginings of classic entries in Capcom’s survival horror series, rebuilt with RE ENGINE and covering stories ranging from the Raccoon City incident to Leon S. Kennedy’s later mission in Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition includes additional content, while Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition combines the main game with additional content including the Separate Ways story expansion.
Their arrival further expands the Resident Evil lineup available on Nintendo Switch 2, bringing three of Capcom’s major modern remakes to Nintendo’s latest platform.
Launching all three remakes together significantly expands the Resident Evil catalog on Nintendo Switch 2. Rather than bringing over a single title, Capcom is establishing a broader presence for the series on Nintendo’s new platform.

Nintendo says pre-orders are now available for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition. Owners of the Nintendo Switch version can receive a discount on the digital Nintendo Switch 2 game through Nintendo eShop and transfer their existing save data.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is scheduled to launch on Switch 2 on October 22, with the latest trailer showing free Wuhu Island exploration, three vehicle types, collectibles, and the offline Island Crown mode.
